Since I love pictures I think they are a necessary part of blogs so I will include some of how Brian and I spend our time before we become Mom and Dad. Last weekend Brian and his cousin Matt ran Grandma's marathon. It was Brian's 7th marathon!!! I was surprised there have actually been a few Russians who have won the marathon.

Waiting
For those of you we have not had a chance to tell in person - SURPRISE - Brian and I are adopting from Russia. I decided to start a blog to keep people updated on our progress, especially when we are in Russia. Our agency told us it would probably be 3-6 months for a referral and we have just passed the 3 month mark. We know this is by no means a definite timeline but we can't help but get excited. We will post more details along the way but for now we have requested a boy or girl, 18 months old or younger. We will be traveling to Russia twice, once to meet the child and accept the referral and the second time to go to court. Blogs have been very helpful to me during this process I have included some that I have followed, several who have recently returned home with their kids, check them out if you are curious.
