April (Snow) Showers

We have had two big April snow storms. Just when the weather gets nice and all the snow melts, BAM, mother nature reminds us we live in Minnesota. Anders response "yay we get to shovel."

The second storm came the week between Anders birthday and Easter. We got six inches but luckily both weekends were beautiful!

Ball Party

Anders couldn't decide if he should have a basketball, baseball or football party so we combined them all and celebrated three year old Anders with a ball party. Cakes were made by Uncle Ken.

Real Birthday

Last year there was a snow storm on Anders birthday stopping us from going to see the baby farm animals at the zoo. This year his birthday was beautiful so Brian took the day off to join us and we met Grandma Jane, Grandma Dorla, Papa Terry, Auntie Maren, Elise and Reuben at the zoo.

We had a great day. So great Anders even fell asleep in the car. I know, everyone else has kids that fall asleep before they are out of the parking lot but we have taken twelve hour car rides to Michigan where Anders hasn't slept so this is amazing!

Three

Anders turned three on a Friday. On Thursday, we brought treats for his day care class where he got this crown that he insisted on wearing to Dairy Queen for a special birthday dinner.

Weekend With Cousins

Anders the Builder

Anders and I had the privilege of tagging along with Grandma Jane to Waldorf College where she awards a memorial scholarship in honor of my dad each year. After the ceremony we stopped by a certain lake house we are all so excited to get done. Anders was in heaven watching the builders work, Uncle Bruce paint and collecting treasures.

It is finally getting to be Spring! I love spring and all its muddiness because it leads to summer.

Old Man

Since we have been visiting Grandma Angie at the nursing home Anders is a bit obsessed with old people. Tonight he talked like an old person all during dinner so this picture was perfect :)

Tamarack Nature Center

The end of March the temps were still below freezing. Anders and I headed out intending to go to open gym, again. Don't get me wrong, I have appreciated Minnesota's amazing amount of indoor fun for keeping us sane this looooong, coooooold winter but I needed a break from  a loud gym full of preschoolers. Instead we bundled up for an afternoon outdoors at Tamarack Nature Center.
