One day at Grandma Jane's we made play doh volcanoes. Anders decorated his with dinosaurs. Elise, princess dresses. She had no idea what was about to happen and I wish I had video of how fast she moved those dresses when her volcano erupted. This is always a fun experiment and there is never enough vinegar.
We made our first visit to the Science Museum this fall. I hadn't been there for awhile and was surprised by how fun it was for three year olds.
We chose to go now because Grandma Jane wanted to see The Flight of the Butterflies at the Omni Theater after reading Flight Behavior. The kids thought it was cool to feel like you were flying like the butterflies during the movie.
After the movie we went to the Butterfly House. Anders thought it was cool!
Elise, not so much!
We also visited the Landscape Arboretum with Grandma Jane. I had only been there to look at flower gardens on Mother's Day many years ago and thought it was boring. I was super surprised that there is tons of stuff for kids to do there and I can't wait to go back when the weather gets nice! This fall we got to see the scarecrow exhibit and Anders LOVED the shrub maze.
