Summer Tour

Anders was in seven states before he turned three months old! We made the twelve hour drive to Michigan to visit Aunt Jan and fam with three adults and two babies in a Honda Civic. The babies did so well we turned around and went to South Dakota for a family reunion the next weekend. Here's a few pics from our travels.
Turns out cousin Ben is great with babies.
First Swim and 4th of July

Anders found his tongue and he thinks it is hilarious.
Matching jammies.
Fourth of July fireworks were right on the lake this year. It was awesome to have a front row seat and not have to deal with crowds. It was loud so Anders sat them out with Grandma Jane this year.
Nerd alert. Sorry Buddy.
Awesome travelers.
Anders and Great Aunt Marvyl . My one and only picture of Anders' first family reunion.

Happy Camper

Anders went on his first camping trip when he was only 2 months old. We were worried about taking him but he did great. He even slept 7 hours straight for the first time. Brian and I, not so much, we were too busy checking to make sure he wasn't too cold.
This year we went to Black River State Forest in Wisconsin. It was a more low key trip than last year but we did manage to get in a hike to Castle Mound.
And tour a local microbrewery. Don't worry we shared.
The rest of the trip was spent hanging with the family, eating yummy campfire food and enjoying time with my buddy.

Anders Tip Child of God

We welcomed Anders and Elise into the Christian faith with a double baptism. It was officiated by Uncle David and most of our families were present. These kids are lucky to have so much love and support.
My favorite thing about infant baptism besides the tradition of it is the naming of God parents. In my family we have two sets of God parents, one on each side of the family. And really can you have too many people looking out for the spiritual well being of your child? So Anders is lucky to have Aunt Naty and Uncle Jared and Anders and Elise share Uncle Jeff and cousin Krista.

Four generations of Thieles.
Not sure what was going on with my camera that day :( Anders didn't cry during the baptism but when they first put water on his head he had a major startle. I think Naty's face says it all!
It is a big deal in Uncle Ken's family to make homemade cakes to celebrate special events. His baptism cakes turned out so awesome he now has requests for several first birthdays.
Nineteen of Great Grandma Angie's twenty great grandchildren were there. Only eighteen made the picture, not sure where Everett was.I know it is not cool to put your little boy in a dress but Anders' baptism gown is almost 90 years old. It was first worn by my grandpa, Great Grandpa Reuben. I also wore it at my baptism so it has sentimental value.Congratulations Anders and Elise! We love you!

Cuteness

Sometimes I have to take pictures just because he is so cute I can't stand it.

Sometimes I'm pretty sure he grew overnight.

Sometimes something like his first hoodie makes me so proud it is ridiculous.Sometimes outfits are just picture worthy.
