Four Month Update

I was so excited Anders was in the 10th percentile for weight I forgot to ask for exact stats. Oops!
Newborn Anders and frog.
At 2 months.
Four months.Heading into four months things are starting to get even more fun. Anders is using things like his exersaucer and bumbo. He is starting to grab toys and get them to his mouth. He talks quite a bit and it is getting easier to get him to laugh. The best part of all - he is sleeping 10 hours at night!

A Day in the Life

Day care sends home a note about what Anders "learned" that day. They are comical because they always make him sound way more advanced than a four month old. Occasionally they include pictures too!

Here he is happily gluing tissue paper to a fish. Gifted :)

Bye-bye

Lately most outings end with changing kids into jammies for the ride home. It is a pretty cute scene.

First Birthday Circuit

Anders will be attending quite a few first birthday parties over the next couple months. He kicked it off at Christian and Claire's cabin party. Anders and Elise had matching outfits from Grandma Jane. You can see why Anders looks a little scared to be in pictures with Elise.

Three Month Pictures

I had to include this one because it shows off the chub. I can't believe how much he has changed in just three months! Here's a reminder.

The Cabin in Pictures

Even I have to pronounce it Onders in this scenario.

All Good Things

It was harder than I thought it would be to go back to work. I was hoping to slip out quietly but Anders was wide awake making it even more difficult to leave since he is his most smiley and cuddly in the morning. There were a few tears but I made it out the door.

Fortunately for me, Brian has to do drop off at day care. I don't think I would have been able to do it. Somehow he managed to leave Anders in the capable arms of Miss Sara.
I grew up going to a home day care and loved it so that is what I had always pictured for my child. Unfortunately with my strange schedule we weren't able to find one that we were comfortable with. When Grandma Dorla agreed to watch him once a week we were thrilled. Not only does he get to be spoiled by Grandma and Grandpa but it also made the price tag at a center a little more manageable.
It turns out we all survived our first day.
