Puddle jumping on a 60 degree December day made me hopeful we would have a repeat of last winter. A week later we got doused with 16 inches of snow.

December 12
We had a full house for Thanksgiving this year. Thankfully it was nice enough to take the kids to the park to feed the ducks.

December 11
December is getting away from me fast. So for the rest of the year you get a picture a day in no particular order. We love spending mornings at Barnes and Noble when we need to get out of the house. Besides fun books there is a train table and lots of places to run and climb.

More Fall Fun
Collecting stuff on a nature walk.
Sensory tubs are all over the mommy blog world but I first learned about them from my friend Mari-Ann on her blog Counting Coconuts. A yellow themed corn sensory tub was my first attempt and it was a hit. Anders asks to play corn daily. What I must have missed when reading about sensory tubs is they are VERY messy. But totally worth it! Nothing wrong with learning about clean up too.
We had our first attempt at cookie baking when Anders was 18 months. As you can see it was a bit of a fail. I thought at this age he would not have the patience to measure out and mix ingredients so I went with cheaters. In retrospect I think he would have enjoyed dumping ingredients more. These looked so much like cookies he couldn't understand why he couldn't have one right away.

Lefse 101
We decided it was time for the next generation to learn to make lefse so Julie held Lefse Making 101 to pass down what Grandma Angie had taught her.
Four generations of lefse makers.
The little girls had fun making lefse too, Anders used that time to get a turn with the babies.
However, he was impressed that lefse making involves a stick.
