Small Town Saturday Night

We traveled to Clear Lake, SD for a family reunion this summer. This picture about sums up Clear Lake. The bakery was silent when we walked in. After a few seconds the big group of farmers went back to playing dice. Amelia's high chair was likely older than me. Christmas tree up in August. But of course, great donuts.

Anders and Amelia had fun with their second cousins once removed.
Learning about rodeos.
We spent the night after the reunion and decided to go bowling. Turns out you have to go to the restaurant next door and ask them to come over and turn the lights on for you in order to bowl.

Cabin

We had a fun week at White Eagle Resort on Lake Vermilion again this year.
Annual photo of Anders the Viking.

These two won't be able to wear matching dresses for long.

So much cousin time!

First father/daughter dance. I will make sure she has tons of these!

Post sauna dip in the lake.
This kid is going to give me a heart attack. I was not quite ready to let him cliff jump alone. Luckily Uncle Jared volunteered to take him.
Anders tried knee boarding for the first time.

Faraway Friends

We took a road trip to Minocqua, Wisconsin to visit Kristin who was "home" from Mexico. Amelia was spoiled by Sophia and Anders and Jacob tried to get along. Some day.....

Wish these guys lived closer!

Seven Months

Oops, missed the seven month mark. We have a mover! And a sitter. While she doesn't do either well it is a big change for her brother.
The second one seems to get older a lot faster!

Fourth of July Fun

We had a great time once we made it to Michigan.
Check out those chubby baby thighs <3!  I love them so much!!
The Forhans were great hosts as usual!!
There were boat rides, kayak rides, tubing and so much wii.

Paul was the only Forhan "kid" around for most of the week so he got lots of attention. He was a good sport!
Grandma Jane had the kids well dressed in festive outfits.

At first Amelia did not share my love of boats but once it started moving she was all "ahhhhh."

Lots of good cousin fun in the lake. These guys are getting so independent!

Fireworks, of course.
Getting silly on the long car ride home.
